LED lights are now by far the most popular type of lighting, with low power usage and high light output they are ideal for both interior and exterior lights.
Available in many different formats such as round overhead downlights, to thin strip lights that are ideal for campervan interiors.
How to determine LED brightness
LED brightness is often measured in lumens, a rating of the direct light output of the bulb instead of the power consumption. This can make the comparison between traditional bulbs and LED replacements difficult, as few bulbs have a lumen rating and LED power consumption is considerably lower.
Colour temperature of LED Lights
LED white lights are often available in two different colour temperatures, warm white and cool white.
Cool white is between 3500K & 5000K, providing a bright and crisp light perfect for large areas or workspaces where clear strong lighting is essential.
Warm white is between 2500K & 3000K, emitting an orange to yellow light that’s ideal for bunk areas or reading environments where softer illumination is preferred.
