There are a raft of sailing and boating training courses out there. Do you really need them and if so, which one?
The RYA courses are the most reputable, the most comprehensive and the most easily available.
The Royal Yachting Association was set up in 1875 and is the national governing body for dinghy, motor and sail cruising, all forms of sail racing, RIBs and sportsboats, windsurfing and personal watercraft and a leading representative body for inland waterways cruising.
The RYA promotes safe boating practices and raise the standards of yachting and sailing in the UK.
The RYA offers training for everyone including beginners, children and even race training at more than 2400 RYA recognised training centres, and has 1,500 RYA affiliated clubs.
